With so many options available to connect consumers with free samples, sampling seems to be a solid strategy for food companies, big and small. According to TIME, “In terms of reaching consumers, free samples are often much more powerful, and much cheaper than traditional advertising.” Here are a few reasons why sampling works.

Breaks down price barrier
No strings attached
Taste and quality

food sampling techniques — and why they work

Product sampling happens when customers can try miniature versions of your product for free before buying it.

Take a skin care brand for example. If it gives free samples of its moisturizer away to customers, they can see the positive results of using it before investing their money into the full-price product.

Marketers can show other people using the product, back up a product with statistics, and collect influencer endorsements. But sometimes, the only way customers will trust what you’re selling is by trying it themselves. Product samples allow them to do that for free.

Product sampling is the process of giving free samples away to customers. The idea is, once they try the product for free, they’ll be more confident in paying full price for the same item.

Giving away your product for free can feel a little daunting. After all, someone has to pay for it—and when it comes to free samples, you eat the cost. But don’t let that dissuade you. Free samples have been proven to boost sales by as much as 2,000%.

You can use free product samples to:

  • Introduce your product to new audiences unfamiliar with your brand
  • Foster relationships and inspire loyalty with existing customers
  • Expand shoppers’ knowledge about the products you offer
  • Encourage repeat customers and more sales of new products
  • Earn attention for your brand at or leading up to an event

navi-mumbai

navi-mumbai

Navi Mumbai(Marathi pronunciation: [nəʋiː mumbəiː], also known as New Mumbai is a planned city in india, situated on the west coast of the Indian subcontinent, in the Konkan division of Maharashtra state, on the mainland of western India. The city is divided into two parts, North Navi Mumbai and South Navi Mumbai, for the individual development of Panvel Mega City, which includes the area from Kharghar to Uran, including Taloja and Old Panvel nodes strictly in the city of Navi Mumbai. Though, NMMC doesn’t include these nodes in their jurisdiction because CIDCO is currently developing them, after developing these nodes it will be handed over to NMMC. Navi Mumbai has a population of 1,119,477[1] as per the 2011 provisional census. It has an average city elevation of 14 meters, excluding forest area.

The area was proposed in 1971 as a new urban township of Mumbai by the Government of Maharashtra. A new public sector undertaking, CIDCO, was established for this purpose.[2] Navi Mumbai is situated across two districts, Thane Part and Raigad.[3] The city has been ranked 12th among 73 cities surveyed for cleanliness and hygiene by the Union Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD) and Quality Council of India (QCI) as a part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

HISTORY

India experienced a phenomenal rate of urban growth during the 25 years following independence and Mumbai always has had its due share in it. The population of Greater Mumbai rose from 2.966 million in 1951 to 4.152 million in 1961 and to 5.970 million in 1971, registering 40.0 and 43.80 percent growths during the first and second decades respectively. The rapid rate of growth of population, made possible by the increasing industrial and commercial importance of the city, resulted in a fast deterioration in the quality of life for the majority of people living in the city. Development inputs could not keep pace with the rapidly growing population, industry, trade and commerce. Besides, there are physical limitations to the growth of a city built on a long and narrow peninsula, which has very few connections with the mainland.

The Government of Maharashtra has been alive to the emerging problems of this metropolis. Responsible public opinion was equally vigilant and several constructive suggestions appeared from time to time in the press and elsewhere. All this helped in keeping the problems of Bombay in the forefront of public awareness.

GEOGRAPHY

Navi Mumbai formerly known as ‘New Bombay’, is a city on the west coast of the state of Maharashtra, India. It was developed in 1972 as a twin city of Mumbai, and is one of the largest planned cities in the world. Navi Mumbai is the only Indian city to be featured in the National Geographic Channel’s Super Cities of the World and was declared one of the best cities of the world by the National Geographic experts.

ECONOMY

The City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (Cidco) 2005, report on Navi Mumbai’s socio-economic survey has put Navi Mumbai above Mumbai in terms of monthly income per family.

Among the different nodes of the Navi Mumbai, Vashi topped the list in this category.

The survey was conducted by Pune-based Kirloskar Consultants. The report studied various ascepts such as population, economic strata, earning capacities and buying power of the people. The survey was conducted in two phases.

According to the report, the average monthly income in Navi Mumbai is Rs 12,691 which is higher than that of Mumbai. The fully developed Vashi node topped with average family income of Rs 15,709.
