Factors for Growth in the Past
Kundalahallis growth in the past has been propelled by the establishment of AECS Layout. Since AECS Layout was formed by the employees of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), the initial population consisted of chiefly HAL employees. But after the explosion in the IT sector in the 1990s, Kundalahalli witnessed a tremendous growth in infrastructure, which included the realty sector.
Its proximity to ITPB has also played a large part in Kundalahallis growth. Many IT/ITeS professionals who were tired of the hustle and bustle of the city centre took to Kundalahalli for its calm and peaceful environment and proximity to IT hubs like ITPB.
